We are currently undergoing testing for an updated release v1.0.3 Beta that we hope to issue within the next few days. We are reviewing all suggestions and bugs that have been submitted by email and will be including with this update a new category listing and thumbnails module. The new version will is being tested on Joomla! v1.0.15 and v1.5.4 with Legacy Support active.
HOW TO INSTALL
To install wbGallery on your Joomla installation, you will need to have Administrative access.
- Download the Latest Version of wbGallery from our repository found here. http://software.webuddha.com/
- Login to the Joomla! Administration Control Panel, typically found at /administrator
- Open the Installer, found in Joomla v1.0.15 under Installers or in Joomla v1.5.4 under Extensions.
- Verify that the folders indicated are all available with Write access (they should be colored green).
If not, you will need to set those permissions using a method similar to the follow the instructions for failed folder creation (below). - Select "Browse" and locate the wbGallery package file you downloaded. Press the Install button.
- You should receive a message indicating the installation was successful.
Review the message and verify that the installation successfully created the new wbGallery folders under the /images base folder.
IF THE FOLDERS FAIL TO CREATE
If the Image Folders Fail to be created, connect to your website using an FTP program or File Manager and create the following folders (all within the standard Joomla /images folder).
- /images/wbgallery/k
- /images/wbgallery/l
- /images/wbgallery/m
- /images/wbgallery/o
- /images/wbgallery/t
Make sure that each folder has write permissions. You will know if this is correct by trying to upload a sample image. You can typically set these permissions using an FTP program or File Manger with the CHMOD command (on Apache web servers). On a windows server you should have no problems, but may need to use whatever hosting tools are provided to set the proper permissions.
GETTING STARTED
Once installed, we hope that you can find your way through the application easily. We will be writing documentation for the wbGallery shortly. For now, feel free to post your questions in this public forum.
